Dear Friends,
A great thank you to the organizers of Galleria Boheme, San Francisco for inviting me to perform July 16 at a “Woman, Life, Freedom” inspired art exhibit in honor and solidarity with Iranian women and girls who are courageously demonstrating peacefully for their fundamental human rights.
Upcoming performances of the Simorgh Dance Collective and I include Journey Through Multicultural Jazz and Dance, an event of San Jose Jazz Summer Fest 2023 August 13 and the annual Mosaic Festival in San Jose Sept. 30 and Oct 1.
Thank you all for your frequent messages asking when my workshops and classes will resume. I will soon finish my work on a book of Persian traditional dance and once that is finished dance workshops and classes will resume this Fall. My Wednesday Yarsan Mystic Music Theory classes continues this month and the Sunday Sacred Circle will resume in September. In the meantime, if you want to view and study from previous class dance videos subscribe to my Patreon site.
Be sure to visit the Simorgh Dance Collective store for ethnic costumes, jewelry, and more. Your purchase helps support the Collective. If you live in the San Francisco Bay area join me in browsing and purchasing items in person from our office in Santa Clara, August 19 – 20.
Wishing to see you soon in dance where ever you are.

“I choose to love you in silence
For in silence I find no rejection,
I choose to love you in loneliness
For in loneliness no one owns you but me,
I choose to adore you from a distance
For distance will shield me from pain,
I choose to kiss you in the wind
For the wind is gentler than my lips,
I choose to hold you in my dreams
For in my dreams, you have no end.”
