September 2023

Dear Friends,

It is a rare gift to find such hard working, humble, and committed artists to share my love and this precious path of culture and dance with. Art is a chance to strive for our highest potential in this lifetime. I wish to thank Mosaic America, the City of San Jose, and Applied Materials for their help sponsoring and organizing the SJ JazzFest and Applied Purpose performances recently completed with many other contributing artists. I look forward to participating more in the future.

The Simorgh Dance Collective and I will be sharing several traditional dances of the Silk Road during the Mosaic Festival Silicon Valley Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 in San Jose. Now in its third year, this free festival in San Jose honors our community with a day of belonging, healing, and harmony through art. Look below for more details.

My Wednesday Yarsan Mystic Music Theory class continues online Wednesdays this month. My dance classes and sacred circle gathering will be resuming in the Fall once I complete my book. I can’t wait to share my life’s journey with you soon! In the meantime, if you want to view and study from previous class dance videos please subscribe to my Patreon site.

This October 19 -23, find your connection to the Persian sacred traditions of the elements fire, water, air, and earth in sacred dance and healing. This five-day mystic retreat on beautiful Mount Lebanon includes sacred healing circles, lecture, meditation, whirling, music, poetry, with optional sightseeing and more. Register early by September 15 to ensure your spot and obtain a discount. See below for details. More events are coming soon including November performances and workshops at the Tanweer Sacred Music Festival in the United Arab Emirates and a Sufi retreat in Mexico in December. Look for more details coming.

Wishing to see you soon in dance where ever you are.
