May 2020

This month I begin new classes and times for the benefit of all students that wish to join me worldwide in my online classes. First, upon request I am adding a fundamentals class for beginners in Persian and Silk Road dance meeting on Thursdays. Then, join Rashid Shadat and I for technique, choreography, and history of Uzbek dances Saturday mornings in May. Look below for all offerings.

I want to thank the remarkable people who have stepped up to make donations and help support artists and organizations struggling to adjust to new realities and facing hardships. If you would like to help support the Simorgh Dance Collective and my work please make a donation online at or contact me to share other ways you may contribute.

This Saturday, the Simorgh Dance Collective joins with talented artists worldwide to present an hour long performance and fundraiser in traditional dances and music of the Silk Road. Funds raised from the performance help support the artists and work of the Simorgh Dance Collective during this challenging time. For more details to enjoy and donate for the performance visit

Wishing you joy, health, and safety!
