September 2020

Dear Friends,
We all love dance–it connects us and brings joy and healing. This month I introduce some amazing new online workshops and class sessions so you can experience dance and Persian culture in new ways.

First, Tuesdays this September I introduce the connection of traditional Persian sacred dance and Persian musical makams. United by music and spirit of dance a makam connects the soul in harmony and healing. Next, Poetry in Motion is a special workshop offered September 12 to learn an interpretive, improvisational, and devotional dance form inspired by mystical and classical Persian poetry

Saturday September 5 join me for a lecture of the Witches and Demons of Ancient Persia. Listen to folk tales of ancient Persian gods, demons, witches. and sorcerers. Invite your children to listen and learn stories of ancient Persian mythology.

In spite of the pandemic, it’s time to stop being a spectator and dance. One need not leave your home or practice unsafe behavior. Look to the event listings below for more details upon upcoming dance classes, lectures, and workshops.

Wishing you joy, health, and safety!
