Dear Friends,
This has been an amazing year of community collaborations and performances by the Simorgh Dance Collective that I for one am very grateful for. I’ve enjoyed meeting, participating, and learning with so many of you worldwide. Although this year is coming to a close there are still many special events and performances coming you will all like.
This month join the Simorgh Dance Collective and I for the tale of the Simorgh, a Persian dance presentation and story. This annual Storyteller Holiday Party December 13 at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco will feature storytelling thru dance. A special dance and lecture presentation on the ancient Perisan traditions that inspired the Christmas traditions will follow on December 17 in San Jose. Finally, look for the Simorgh Dance Collective in performances at the annual Roya Foundation benefit ball in San Ramon the evening of December 17. Look below for details.
Visit the Simorgh Holiday Bazaar this winter for specialty Silk Road costume gifts, jewelry, and more and help support the work of the Simorgh Dance Collective as well. Your donation supports the work of the Simorgh Dance Collective and contributes to the research, costuming, travel, scholarship and public presentation of Silk Road dance and music.
With love wishing you safety, joy, peace, and health in the coming year! Happy Yalda!
Happy Holidays,
Farima
It is never late to ask yourself “Am I ready to change my life, am I ready to change myself?”. However old we are, whatever we went through, it is always possible to reborn. If each day is a copy of the last one, what a pity! Every breath is a chance to reborn. But to reborn into a new life, you have to die before dying.
