September 2024

Dear Friends,

Thank you Orange County for the warm reception last week for Wandering with the Wind. Featuring performances by highly talented musicians, artists, and actors as well as traditional Iranian dances by the Simorgh Dance Collective and I, Wandering with the Wind was produced and directed by award-winning actor and director Sadeh Hatefi. Also in August the Simorgh Dance Collective and I were blessed to dance and honor Dr. Lloyd Miller who played traditional music of the Silk Road amongst an intimate audience.

A few spaces are still open for my September sacred dance and music retreat Sacred Journey of the Soul in Marboro, VT. This retreat encompasses the rich tapestry of Iranian/Persian mysticism and Sufism, including Greater Khorasan, Yarsan, Qaderi, Mitratic, and Zoroastrian rituals, as well as Central Asian and Turkish Sufi practices. Space is limited so take advantage of this opportunity now. Please look for more details below.

Finally, celebrate our mosaic of American cultures at the fourth annual Mosaic Festival at San Jose’s History Park this October 10. We are working hard to prepare for dance performances presenting traditional Persian and Silk Road culture. Come ready to learn and participate in a traditional dance! Look for details below.

Wishing to see you soon in dance where ever you are,
Farima
