The Seven Valleys
Join Dr. Farima Berenji for a seven-week journey through The Seven Valleys of the great Persian Sufi master Farid al-Din Attar. Each week explores one of the Seven Valleys through Sufi philosophy, meditation, Sama, sacred whirling, and Zikr.
The Sama and sacred whirling taught in this course are Dr. Farima Berenji’s original interpretations and creations, inspired by Attar’s teachings and developed through decades of research, spiritual practice, and teaching. This approach is also presented in her book, Companions of the Sun.
This course is intended for seekers and dedicated Sufi students and is not a beginner-level class. Students will receive weekly contemplative exercises, Sufi practices, and homework to deepen their journey between classes.

Topics vary weekly and monthly. Open for all to participate. No experience needed. Feel free to bring a poem, story, or your music to share.
