Traditional Tajik dance is one of the most diverse and oldest folk dances of Central Asia, which together with Uzbek dance and a variety of other influences serves as the basis for Persian dance. This workshop is suitable for moderate to advanced dancers of any style, for anyone who wants to broaden their horizons in dance experience and learn something new about one of the oldest cultures of the Orient.

Learn an ancient sacred dance tradition of Persia and the ecstatic whirling dervish as well as valuable information on its history, archaeology, and ethnology. Learn of its vital and passionate movements and meditation under the guidance of a expert who really understands. As a Sufi instructor and student many years under the guidance and Sufi master and dervish Dr. Rahmi Oruç Güvenç of Turkey, Farima is the only woman who at present leads Sema rituals in Turkey with Mevlavi and Bhaktashi practices.
