Spring Celebration

Celebrate Norouz, Persian New Year, in this cultural dance and music studio gathering with dance performances by Farima Berenji and Bay Area guest artists, live music, and potluck. Includes silent auction of elegant costumes, jewelry, accessories, and many treasures.
Stay for open floor dancing at the end. Musicians and dancers feel free to come show your talent.
Bring a potluck dish to share. Suggested admission: $5-10 donation.
Donations gratefully appreciated. All profits help fund dancers of the Simorgh Dance Collective acquire costumes, research, and stage a future dance projects.

Farima Berenji
Farima is an award winning, internationally acclaimed performing artist, instructor, dance ethnologist, and archeologist. She specializes in sacred, classical, and folkloric dances of the Silk Road. Farima is the founder and artistic director of the Farima Dance Company and the Simorgh Dance Collective. Recognized as one of few world experts and scholars of Persian dance history, Farima infuses spirituality into her dance and teachings to impassion, empower, and inspire.
