Persian Dance Technique
July 19, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm$40
Persian dance comes from an ancient culture of 8000 years and its movements are a blend of enchanting sacred movements reflecting birds, animals, flowers, and elements. Persian dance is also inspired by Persian poetry and sensuous miniature artwork. It is delicate, refined, and full of meaning. Delicate hand movements, gentle upper body undulations, and facial expressions are the essential elements of this dance.
The focus of this workshop will be on Persian dance techniques such as:
- Persian hands, movement of the wrists and arm
- Upper body undulations and shoulder isolations
- Footwork and floor patterns
- Persian bodyline
- Dazzling Spins
- Art of improvisation
- Art of expression
