Meet members of the Simorgh Dance Collective and take home some ethnic treasures from a Silk Road bazaar.
Find specialty ethnic clothing, hand-made articles, veils, and jewelry for sale from our travels to Iran, Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. Come browse for rare and unusual ethnic costume dresses, skirts, vests, jewelry, and more, vintage as well as new and unused, from our company collection.
All proceeds help benefit the work of the Simorgh Dance Collective.
Simorgh Dance Collective
The Simorgh Dance Collective is a world community of artists devoted to educate and present traditional, classical, and sacred dance styles of the Silk Road. Since 2007, it is the first Iranian dance collective to be led by an Iranian woman. It is also honored to be the first Persian dance company directed by an Iranian woman to perform during a reception for President Obama. It currently has member companies and artist affiliations in Alaska, Canada, Turkey, UK, Iran, and the US.
