DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to celebrate Azerbaijan Independence Day with a flag raising ceremony and concert program at the San Jose City Hall\, San Jose!  Join us for an afternoon of festivities honoring Azerbaijan’s independence. \n\nFree admission\nFree parking\n\nThe celebrations are kicked off with a flag raising ceremony\, followed by a concert program featuring Azerbaijani music and dance performances by Farima Berenji and the Simorgh Dance Collective. As a special highlight\, the Azerbaijan flag will be illuminated with LED lights on the San Jose City Hall building for one week following the event! \nThis is a great opportunity to learn more about Azerbaijani culture and celebrate with the local Azerbaijani community. We hope to see you there! \nOn the occasion of Azerbaijan’s Independence Day\, the first time the State Flag of Azerbaijan was raised at the City Hall of a California city was on Oct. 17\, 2014 at the City Hall of San Jose\, CA. The May 10 flag raising event is the 10th anniversary.
