DESCRIPTION:Nowruz Celebration at Union City Library \nCelebrate Nowruz with dance performances by Farima Berenji and the Farima Dance Company.   \nNowruz celebrates the first day of spring and the beginning of the year in the Persian calendar. Nowruz has been celebrated by people from diverse ethnic communities and religious backgrounds for thousands of years. \nThis event is part of a series of 300 free Art IS Education events for youth and families presented by Alameda County Library in partnership with the Alameda County Arts Commission and the Alameda County Office of Education to celebrate arts education and creativity. All Library programs are free! No reservations are required.  The Union City Library is a branch of the Alameda County Library system. \n \n \n \n

After our performance we invite everyone to learn and participate in a fun dance from the Silk Road.  \nExperience inspirational and informative seminar stages (Travel Channel Theater\, and Destination Theater)\, plus culture and entertainment abound on the Taste of Travel Stage and Global Beats Stage offering dozens of culinary demos and dance performances all weekend long.  Plus\, check out many of the hands-on activities offered at the show. \nOur last performance at this show is at Sunday\, March 6\, 2:30-3pm. \nThe 6th annual Bay Area Travel & Adventure Show is where travel lovers come for travel inspiration\, expert information and fun\, cultural interaction.
