The Simorgh Dance Collective and Eastern Arts of Salt Lake City, Utah are proud to present Journey Along the Silk Route this Saturday September 28, a dance and music concert that presents the folklore of the many cultures of Persia and the Silk Road. Music for the concert is performed live by master musician Homeyra Banejad and her ensemble and by Dr. Lloyd Miller of Eastern Arts. Seating is limited. There is still time to purchase tickets online now.

Dance therapy is about connecting a person to his or her body. Whirling and sacred dance helps unite one’s mind, heart, and body by means of dance and meditation. I’ll be returning soon to Calgary, Alberta and Lebanon to present the Rose and the Nightingale–a workshop in Persian Mystical Dance and Ancient Iranic Rituals. In Sacramento and Mountain View California attend my Dance of the Soul workshops to discover the power and mystery of whirling as a gateway for self-growth and spiritual enlightenment through movement, music, and meditation.

Where ever you are I hope to dance with you soon.
