This month I’ll be returning soon to Calgary to teach my signature sacred dance retreat, Dance of the Soul. This weekend retreat introduces sacred dance spirals and circles based on Sufi whirling traditions, sacred geometry, sacred elements, and ancient Persian rituals. Early registration for this retreat ends on Feb 1 so hurry.
Once monthly in San Jose through March I host a special workshop in Central Asian traditional dance. This month on February 10 my friends and special guest master instructors Nancy Rose Aktas and Gurbuz Aktas are featured. Nancy will share technique and choreography in Uzbek dance for the first half then during the workshop second half Dr. Aktas will teach Kafkaz and Azeri dance choreography and technique including fast footwork and some Lezginka for both men and women.
