August 2024

Dear Friends,

This July a tremendous thank you to Lucia Enterprices is necessary for inviting me to perform and teach workshops in Persian classical, sacred, and Azeri folk dance in beautiful San Diego. I wish also to thank audiences at the Fairfield Library and the Mountain View Google office locations for the opportunity to share the dance and music culture of Iran.

Preliminary details on upcoming performances of the Simorgh Dance Collective and I are listed below and include a special Silk Road music and dance performance, a reprise performance of Wandering with the Wind in Orange County, and two Mosaic America cultural events. Check our website calendar for updates in performances and workshops this month as many of the details here will be updated.

There are still some spaces open for my September sacred dance and music retreat Sacred Journey of the Soul in Marboro, VT. This retreat encompasses the rich tapestry of Iranian/Persian mysticism and Sufism, including Greater Khorasan, Yarsan, Qaderi, Mitratic, and Zoroastrian rituals, as well as Central Asian and Turkish Sufi practices. Join us for workshop and evening gatherings. The retreat includes shared lodging and meals prepared by our amazing Persian-Lebanese chef but if you live nearby the beautiful Potash Hill Retreat Center you may commute and avoid the cost of lodging. Space is limited so take advantage of this opportunity now. Please look for more details below.

Wishing to see you soon in dance where ever you are,
Farima

Goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes. Because for those who love with heart and soul there is no such thing as separation.
