Dear Friends,

Nowruz Mobarak! Happy Persian New Year! Happy Spring!

A great thank you to the Iranian Cultural Foundation of Houston for inviting us to dance for their 13th annual Nowruz Festival once more! A crowd of over 2000 appreciative people enjoyed our Persian traditional dance performances.

To help celebrate the coming of Spring, the Simorgh Dance Collective, Eastern Arts, and other fine artists have pooled their talents together to share with you a free online celebration of traditional Silk Road dance, music, poetry, and art. This hour long Norouz Celebration of arts begins at noon PDT March 27. Look for more details below to join.

Make plans to join me in May, for Caravan of Mystics, a mystic Sufi music and dance retreat adjoining the beautiful Black Sea coast. This amazing three day retreat will feature internationally acclaimed artists, musicians, and scholars. Look for more details below.

Be sure to visit the Simorgh Dance Collective store for ethnic costumes, jewelry, and more. Your purchase helps support the Collective.

With love,

Farima

“When I am with you, we stay up all night.
When you’re not here, I can’t go to sleep.
Praise God for those two insomnias!
And the difference between them.”
